Events are held to attract as many poeple as possible to use Llangiwg to bring together people that have an interest in Llangiwg to appreciate this building and it's history . In this way its future will be secured. Support this venture by becoming a member of the 'Friends of Llangiwg'.

An extraordinary amount of functions and events have taken place both at and for Llangiwg. Every year, at Easter we organise an Easter Egg Hunt and on the last Sunday in June, we celebrate St Clwg’s birthday with a family picnic. At Halloween we organise spooky stories and sup on pumpkin soup and at the end of each year, Mari Lwyd entertains us.

We organise storytelling events with local primary schools also photographic, arts and crafts and heritage exhibitions all helping to publicise Llangiwg.

To reflect community views there is a suggestion box in the church and feedback is important to enable us to learn from past experiences and improve for the future.

Social functions and events that have so far taken place at and for Llangiwg have included:

  • Musical concerts
  • Story telling events with local schools
  • Mari Lwyd events and other seasonal celebrations
